Anne Williams-Blackwell and Marla Čolić of Marcus & Millichap's Memphis, TN and St. Louis, MO offices, respectively, are pleased to announce the recent closing of Carbondale Self Storage, located in Carbondale, IL.
The offering consists of 10,036 net rentable square feet of non-climate controlled units and an additional 1.5 acres of land on which the Buyer plans to develop additional storage.
Prior to taking the property to the market, the Seller had performed major renovations to the facility which included adding new roofs, replacing and painting unit doors, installing security lights and renovating the rental office and on-site apartment. "The before and after pictures are truly amazing," comments Williams-Blackwell. "The Sellers took a run-down D-class facility that had no software or filing system and brought it up to market standards. The two existing buildings were on an acre of land and offered no room for expansion, so the Sellers painstakingly acquired the lot next door in order to expand. That opportunity will be passed on to the new owner."
"The owners were incredibly diligent about executing their acquisition and exit strategy. They stayed faithful to their to their vision right up until the day of closing", adds Čolić.
According to Inside Self Storage - "the facility at 707 E. College St. comprises 10,036 rentable square feet. The deal included a 1.5-acre lot next to the facility on which the buyer intends to expand. Recent renovations include new roofs and doors, security lighting, and updates to the office and manager residence. The seller was represented in the transaction by Marla Čolić and Williams-Blackwell of M&M." (Read More....)
